Puppy Kindergarten

Puppy Kindergarten
(7 Week Class. 1st Class: Orientation)

Beginning level class designed for new puppy owners who want to teach their puppies household manners, learn more about canine behavior, and learn to solve common puppy problems. We build puppy socialization time into our classes so that they can learn how to interact with other dogs. Our program is based on scientific learning theory and uses the most up-to-date positive reinforcement techniques. Intended for puppies aged 10 weeks to 5 1/2 months. We participate in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program.

Family Dog II

Family Dog II
(7 Week Class. 1st Class: Orientation)

We will be concentrating on our stays and sits, downs and stands, loose leash walking, recalls and attention exercises. Emphasis is working towards off lease control, stronger and more secure recalls both at greater distances and with distractions, quicker responses to commands with distractions, hand signals and varying food rewards. We will also incorporate games and tricks. At the end of the 7 week session, we will offer the Canine Good Citizen Test (CGC). The CGC is the foundation for many of the therapy dog tests. This class should give you a well-behaved dog, and a good starting point for other activities such as agility, rally-o, competitive obedience, water, and therapy.
